28 Weeks Later
The follow-up to the brilliant for an hour sort of zombie movie from Danny "The Beach" Boyle. This time directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo. From what I hear this one is just brutal and hands your ass to you on a silver platter and then makes you eat your own ass with a knife and fork. If I see this movie this weekend then I'll review it, how's that for an original idea?
The Ex
Once known as "Fast Track" this light comedy from the guy that brought you the Foo Fighter's "Learn to Fly" looks to be a solid 90 minute yuckster. Although if Jason Bateman were not the wheelchair bound villain I wouldn't even be mentioning this flick. It's PG-13 and has been pushed back a number of times so all I'm expecting is a decent Farrelly Bros. copy and paste and hopefully some sly winking nods to the glory that was Arrested Development. Will have a review if I do in fact see it.
Those are really the only too that I feel comfortable putting the trailers up for, the rest of this weekend's major releases are as follows:
Delta Farce -- A Comedy about the Iraq War starring Larry the Cable Guy (way too many oxymorons in that phrase)
Georgia Rule -- The man who brought us the prostitute with a heart of gold returns with yet another flick that should keep every vagina pleased until Knocked Up or Nancy Drew is released. Also I'm pretty sure this will be Lindsey Lohan's first oral sex scene. So that's a plus.
Home of the Brave -- From IMDB: Three soldiers struggle to readjust to life at home after returning home from a lengthy tour in Iraq. The Iraq War as a tragedy, this would make a nice double bill with Delta Farce for the Red Stater in all of us. Also Jessica Biel is in it, and 50 Cent.
That's all folks! Come back on Monday for a review for one of these films. Place your bets now!
